About the Leather Supply House |
Leather Supply House History
Dear Colleague,
The LEATHER SUPPLY HOUSE, previously known as International Organ Leathers, was
founded in 1986 by Brian Merchant and then operated by the late Marilyn Walsh.
In 2003 the company was purchased by Michael Madeira, owner and proprietor of
Madeira Pipe Organ Service, who relocated the enterprise to Garwood, New Jersey,
formerly the manufacturing home of the Aeolian Organ Company.
Over our many years in the organ business, we have always sought the best
leathers available to the industry for our pipe organ renovations. Now as the
proud owner of the LEATHER SUPPLY HOUSE, we will continue to seek the best
tanners throughout the world to supply you with the finest leathers available to
the trade.
As you examine our new catalog, not only have our leather selections grown, but
we now also offer a wide selection of rubberized cloth products. We also stock
many specialized tools that were previously available from European suppliers.
We strive to maintain low overhead expenses, enabling the LEATHER SUPPLY HOUSE
to offer the lowest prices in the industry.
Thanks to the input and suggestions of many dedicated builders, restorers, and
craftsmen, the LEATHER SUPPLY HOUSE supplies the highest quality musical
instrument leather, meeting the needs and expectations of the most demanding
professional. If we do not have what you are looking for or would like us to
stock a particular item, please give us a call or send a e-mail to
mike@leathersupplyhouse.com. We
will do our best to accommodate your needs.
As always, we welcome your questions and concerns.
